alex krug is a free spirited creative force currently living and making music in Asheville NC.  She has her own unique style, an earthy thick hybrid of Folk and Rock.  People say there is something both haunting and wise about her music.  It is something like cutting your way through the dense green woods with a machete in the height of hot summer, something like running through a crowded downtown city street in a down pour, you get soaking wet and covered with it, the whole scene, maybe its like jumping from a cliff into the clean cold deep waters of a quarry, or putting your fingers down into the dirt on some ancient Appalachian mountain and scooping it up in your hand, all the history, or sometimes, something like finding some intricate wildflower and putting your eye on it for awhile.
